Amazon Explorer Midlet

posted Wednesday, 30 March 2005

The first version of the Amazon Explorer Midlet can be downloaded here.  You will find inside of the zip a Jad and a Jar.  It is MIDP 1.0 compliant but has been designed with UIQ P800 / P900  P910 in mind and although will work on other MIDP 1.0 compliant phones, the display may not resize.

I intent to do a PPC, Palm and blackberry Port of this also (from a MIDP perspective).

Comments welcome :-)

This is awesome - I can't believe this is a midlet !!! Or that it is free - you should put this on the symbian download sites - it's much better than most of the stuff people charge for - thanks !

Hello, I downloaded the Amazon explorer and run it in my Nokia E62 and worked great!. I'm a MIDP newbie doing some search for a GUI toolkit for smartphones, Which one would you suggest? I downloaded the Thinlet Demo and had trouble running it using the last Wireless toolkit (WTK from Sun (2.5.1), I could run it using netbeans and an older version of the WTK but the netbean module for thinlet does not work with Netbeans 6.0 M10, any hints would be greatly appreciated.
