Technology venture partners from Australia and Transcosmos Investments in Japan have hjust led a successful $5.5 million Series B funding for Eurekster, who implement the Swicki community driven search platform.
Vehera has a had a Swicki on its site for a long time now. If you look to the left of this post, you should see it in the left sidebar. What's a Swicki I hear you ask ? They are site specfic search engines in which you can instruct the Swicki which sites to search for results and thereby you can make the search relatively focused.
The Swicki market is actually a pretty crowded vertical, containing, amongst other, Google, Rollyo and Yahoo. Good luck to Eurekster, they have a good product and the service is useful...that's not something you can see about a lot of 'new products' you see on the web these days....
